What is Pilates?
Pilates is the name for a method of special body exercises that strengthen muscle groups without overloading the muscles and joints. Combined with controlled breathing, Pilates promotes the health of body and mind. The core of every exercise is the center of the body, located between the pelvis and the chest, called the “powerhouse.” The eight basic principles are: relaxation, concentration, posture, breathing, coordination, center, fluid movements and endurance. By practicing Pilates regularly, you get long and slim muscles and you increase your lung capacity.
